The 12-Week Program
Couples recovery, together and on the right foundation
An outpatient program for married couples in which one or both spouses are struggling with alcohol or drugs. You heal as a couple while you keep your job and your home life.
The program runs in cohorts that form several times a year, so each group starts and finishes together. Contact us to ask when the next cohort begins or to be added to the interest list.
Why couples, and why together?
Addiction is rarely one person’s problem alone. It reshapes how a husband and wife speak, trust, spend, parent and pray. When only one spouse is treated, the marriage often stays organized around the old patterns, and relapse finds an open door.
This program treats the marriage as part of the recovery. Both spouses learn what has been happening, what each has carried, and how to rebuild a home where sobriety can last.
Who the program is for
- Married couples where one or both spouses use alcohol or drugs
- Couples who need treatment but cannot leave work for an inpatient stay
- Couples willing to work from a Christian, biblical framework
- Couples ready to attend every week for twelve weeks
Not sure it fits? The free consultation is the place to ask. If medical detox or a higher level of care is needed first, we will help you find it.
What the twelve weeks include
Small-group sessions
Three to five couples per group, so each couple is known and no one disappears in a crowd.
Biblical counseling
Scripture shapes the work: confession, repentance, forgiveness and the hope of genuine change.
Proven methods
Cognitive-behavioral tools and relationship-systems work help you recognize triggers and break old cycles.
Communication skills
Practical tools for honest speech and careful listening, practiced in session and at home.
How the program moves
The twelve weeks follow a deliberate path. The exact plan for your group is reviewed at your consultation.
Foundation
Naming what addiction has done, establishing honesty and safety, and examining what your marriage was built on.
Repair
Learning new ways to speak, listen and handle conflict, and beginning the slow work of rebuilding trust.
Renewal
Planning for relapse prevention, strengthening your support, and setting your marriage on a lasting footing.
Cost
The program is designed to cost far less than inpatient treatment. Please call or write for current fees and payment options.
